      1. I just finished Book 5 of The Jacobite Chronicles and now can’t wait for Book 6 to find out what happens next. How many books do you anticipate for the series?

        Thanks.

        1. Hello! Book six will be the last in this series. But I’m already researching for a new series, and I also intend to write the back stories of some of the minor characters, and also of Alex

          1. I so enjoyed reading your series The Jacobite Chronicles, and hope one of the backstories you write about includes the characters, Sarah and Duncan. I also enjoyed Seventy-Five Percent Solution, and have also recommended it to others as well. Looking forward to your new series.

          2. Thank you so much for letting me know you loved the series and 75%, and for recommending them to others – that’s really kind of you and does make a difference! The first back story is Sarah, by the way! I start the actual writing of it tomorrow…

      1. Thank you! That’s a wonderful compliment! Book 6 will not be long now. I’m writing the last couple of chapters at the moment, and then have to read it through as a whole book. If it doesn’t need substantial editing, I’ll then be able to set a release date, which I’ll post on my Facebook and Twitter feeds, in here, and will send a newsletter to all my subscribers (you can subscribe by putting your email on the link at the top of the home page). It really won’t be long now, I promise! x

When will #6 be available?

  5. This should definitely be made into a series, love the story, characters are brilliant, it has made me laugh and cry. It’s up there with Outlander!!!

  6. Love reading your books. They were such an easy read for me and historically thrilling….I would love to see a mini tv series about Beth and Alex. Who could play Alex?

    1. Hi, Dania. Really happy that you enjoyed the books so far! I have no idea who could play Alex – it would be an interesting test of acting ability for whoever did, though!

  7. This whole series is amazing. I love that you take the time to add such colour to the story and your attention to detail on the historical facts is truly remarkable (I especially like that you refer to them at the end!). I honestly feel like I’m right next to Alex on the battlefield while I’m reading. Can’t wait for book 6 – and especially can’t wait to see how Alex reunites with Beth 🙂 keep up the amazing work Julia!

  10. Absolutely loved the series so far Julia – can’t wait for Book 6. House and housework has been sadly neglected whilst I had my head in the books – lucky I am retired otherwise that would be an issue too. Thank you – so looking forwarding to the next episode.

  11. I read book one on my Nook, then had to buy a Kindle just to finish the series. The books are so good, I read them one after the other. Can’t wait to see book six when it’s done with editing. You are a great author and do a wonderful job combining history with fiction and romance. Thank you for your beautiful writing.

  12. I started reading The Jacobite Chronicles because the first one was free on Book Bub. I have to admit, I’m cheap. BUT, this series is SO good, I had to open up that stingy old lady pocket book and keep reading. Really looking forward to Book 6. I’ve highly recommended The Jacobite Chronicles to many of my Outlander friends. I also gave the series a shout out on one of the Outlander Facebook pages. Love Beth and Alex. ❤️

    1. Ha ha ha! I love your admission that you’re cheap! Nothing wrong with that, but I’m flattered that my books are worth spending money on! Thanks for recommending me to others – I really appreciate that. It does make a real difference. xx
