About the AudioBooks
Once I’d sold enough copies of my e-books and paperbacks to be able to justify the cost of producing audio versions, I started to look into the process. I wanted narrators who would not just read the books, but would act them, bringing each character vividly to life for my listeners.
Many of my readers have told me that when reading my novels they become so invested in the characters that they don’t want the series to end, which is a huge compliment. I wanted the audio versions to give listeners the same experience, so I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect narrators. To my great joy, listeners tell me that my search has been successful.
Will M. Watt has been with me from the start. Not only is he an exceptionally talented narrator, with nearly 200 books under his belt, he’s also an actor, musician, and writer, and in addition to this puts up with my utter lack of technical knowledge with grace and humour. His narration is fabulous, and he’s capable not only of just about any accent or dialect imaginable, but also of narrating the voices of children, youths, adults and old men. I’m in awe of his ability!
I’ve now had three different female narrators, all of whom are absolutely wonderful and very experienced. The one I have now, Mary Jane Wells, as well as being an accomplished and multiple award-winning narrator, including three Audie Awards, seven Earphones awards. She also was winner of the 2022 best original work Audie, joining the ranks of previous winners which include Barack Obama and Lin Manual Miranda. As if this wasn’t enough, she’s also a successful actress and writer. Her and Will make a wonderful team, and I’m hoping both of them will continue to narrate my books for as long as I write them!
